Xavier Zuniga Reviews Leather Eagle

Hi!  It’s Xavier Zuniga, your intrepid and overly generous Warehouse Manager.  I’ve been busy in the testing center once again.  To keep things sort of simple I picked my next product to test alphabetically which lead me to Leather Eagle Powerplay Formula.  Now, I am very upfront about being adventurous and generous with strangers so it shouldn’t really come as a surprise that, especially in my misbegotten youth, that I dabbled in the dark and dangerous world of Leather.  Seriously though, the Leather world is full of very fine, upstanding, and honorable people and I count some of my best friends, and more, among that community. And did I win a few contests?  That could be true, indeed, it could.  So, how did Leather Eagle stand up to my set of expectations?

My experience of Leather Eagle was that of a solid and quality product in the popper market of today.  Given its name and my sense of expectation, it wasn’t, perhaps, strong as I would have expected, but you have to take my evaluations of strength with the proviso of understanding that I end up using a LOT of poppers in my personal and professional life, so it may simply be that I am less sensitive over the years that the average person might happen to be.  That said, I would still rate Leather Eagle as a medium to strong product.  Maybe I was expecting something like Jungle Juice Black but got Jungle Juice Platinum, which is still one of my favorite all-time go-to products.

At this time, Leather Eagle doesn’t have a large following and that is a shame since it really is a good product, one that belongs in the back pocket of all Leather folks as well as those who are generally fans of a good popper product at a good price.

Situations in which I find a medium to strong cleaner, such as Leather Eagle, might be preferable include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Early stages of the cleaning process;
  • Solo work, especially if I want to take my time about it;
  • Especially connected or intense duo, or more, cleaning tasks where I want to extend my engagement time without “finishing” too soon;
  • Training a person who is new to the use of solvent cleaners.

I use a variety of cleaners exactly because there are differences.  I think there is a place for Leather Eagle in just about anyone’s cleaning kit.  I would encourage everyone to give it a try.
